Thoroughly, and recommend it overall - it has a few shortcomings, and ironically, those are mostly the shortcomings you see in Breath of The Wild. It's part BOTW, part Spiderman, part Alice in Wonderland, with a dose of originality too.

Not Zelda, not EA fare, not Forspoken none of them. If you like all of that, you should give it a gander the next time it goes on sale. This game just gives you so much, and so many options. Sure, the best way (offensive+switch method) takes stamina, but again, using Shimmy in battle makes stamina a non-issue. And having multiple ways to switch between the multiple schools of magic at the drop of a hat is the chef's kiss. I am aware that the gameplay section is a *bit* Sila-centric, but in my mind I am extrapolating what the other two(?) schools of magic may do if they offer a fraction of the enjoyment that Red Magic gives. Look, the Shimmy that basically gives you infinite stamina if you use it right and Frey's 'Throw Rock', 'Throw Bigger Rock', and 'Throw Many Rocks' starter magic is okay and gets better when you optimize it, but holy crap SILA WAS HOLDING, YOU HAVE TO CONFISCATE THAT. Because I spent 20+ hours puttering around with the magic I started with, not knowing that Sila's magic gives you more traversal options, melee sword attacks, flaming rush-downs with jukes, stands *AND* options, tackles, a straight-up Final Fantasy DRAGOON LANCE ATTACK ON COMMAND, instant summon fire arena/domain to trap your enemies in and fight them because why not, a Kamen Rider kick that when you kick them, they go flying and explode a second later, and there's more in Sila's magic list that I still don't have enough mana to unlock yet. Then Everything Changed When The Fire Nation Attacked" is the least spoilery line I can give. Gameplay(/yassqueenslay) - "Shimmy Was Best Magic Frey Had. Music - Also great, though I've not heard a lot since I've only just now moved on from Sila's territory. (RTX 6700 XT, 12GB VRAM, 32GB memory, SSD for reference) Graphics - if your PC at least matches a PS5, they're great and the load times are *instant!?* which is still blowing my mind. And that's not a bad thing it stays out of the way. You will see it all play out a mile away. You're getting Jack In the Box burger fare. You've played Devil May Cry, Star Ocean, whatever David Cage flavor of the day you're not getting F. Story - it's a video game-ass video game story. (23 hours as of this review, bought on sale)
